D380 HEAVY DUTY SWING GATE DRIVES

Drive

Reliable and exceptionally quiet, D380 drives use an inverter-driven motor and gearbox to combine smooth three-phase control with the cost efficiency of a single-phase supply. The result is ultra-smooth gate operation for gates up to 8.0m single leaf and upto 5.0m high.

The D380 drive is supplied with a Feig controller for each drive, featuring built-in inverter technology. Controllers can be linked together to operate in a true master/slave configuration. This setup allows the three-phase D380 drives to run from a single-phase supply, with hundreds of adjustable parameters available to the installer for fine-tuning operation on site.

Safety

The D380 is supplied as standard with a Category 3 resistive safety edge pre-mounted on the lid. Additional safety edges can be connected to the Feig controllers, along with photocells and other required safety devices.

Encoder Driven

The D380 drives are supplied as standard with a high-precision Feig encoder. Designed as part of FEIG’s advanced gate control systems, these encoders provide accurate positional feedback to the controller, ensuring smooth, reliable and repeatable gate movement. This level of feedback control delivers exceptional operating precision, optimises performance, and removes the need for traditional mechanical limit switches – reducing wear while improving long-term reliability and safety.

We offer custom-built post-mounted brackets, allowing the D380 to be installed directly onto existing posts. Standard bracket sizes are available for 150mm, 200mm, and 250mm posts, with other sizes available on request.

Post Brackets

The D380’s versatile design allows it to be installed on almost any type of swing gate. Its drive arm operates on a simple push-and-pull motion, removing the need for complex geometry calculations or precise alignment with the gate structure.

This makes installation quicker, more flexible, and ideal for a wide range of applications.

Design

120 Degree Opening

The D380 is also available as an optional 120° opening drive, providing increased opening angles for applications where wider access is required.

The D380 housings are primed and finished with a C4-rated polyester powder coating as standard. For harsher environments, optional galvanised and plasticoated finishes provide enhanced durability. A selection of standard RAL colours is also available at no additional cost.
