D8400 Hydraulic Road Blocker Features

Visual Deterrent

A road blocker provides the ultimate defence against unauthorised or unwanted vehicle access. Its imposing design acts as a powerful visual deterrent, while its robust construction is engineered to withstand even the most determined vehicle-borne attacks. For maximum security, road blockers are often installed in conjunction with swing or sliding gates, delivering a comprehensive and highly effective perimeter protection solution.

The system is controlled by a Schneider PLC, paired with an inverter to efficiently operate the three-phase pump unit. The PLC features fully adjustable parameters, allowing the system to be tailored to specific customer requirements. All settings can be easily configured and fine-tuned on-site by the installer, ensuring optimal performance for each application.

The D8400 is hydraulically driven by hydraulic rams, powered by a three-phase hydraulic power pack. This design delivers a true 100% duty cycle, ensuring maximum reliability and consistent performance in demanding environments.

Integration with other products

The D8400 can be seamlessly integrated with a wide range of perimeter security products, including barriers, swing gates, and sliding gates. The Schneider PLC features configurable outputs, enabling the creation of intelligent interlocks with other systems. For example, interlocking with barriers ensures the road blocker is fully lowered before the barrier is raised, preventing accidental impact and protecting both equipment and vehicles.

The rising element is powder-coated in high-visibility yellow, with black chevrons applied to the attack face for enhanced visual warning. The lower framework is fully hot-dip galvanised after fabrication, ensuring long-term durability and corrosion resistance.
