FEIG CONTROL SYSTEM

Plug and Play! All UMD gates feature a Feig control system with inverter, all pre wired and factory tested ready for connection to your mains power supply.

Reliable and almost silent in operation. D5700 gates are powered via an inverter driven motor and gearbox, providing 3 phase controllability with single phase economy. The gearbox has an encoder on for ultimate precision.

GATE DRIVE

The D5700 incorporates a 22mm wide steel drive rack that bolts to the aluminium channel for ultra reliable operation.

TOP MOUNTED INDUS KIT

As proven across our steel gate range, the top-mounted Indus Kit protects key components by positioning them above the roller channel, away from debris, standing water and impact damage. This reduces wear, improves maintenance access and supports long-term system reliability.

GATE FINISH​

The UMD sliding gates are finished in our purpose-built, automated powder coating booth, specifically designed for sliding gates to deliver a consistent, flawless finish every time. The fully automated coating process ensures a controlled and uniform film thickness across the entire gate assembly, achieving full coverage on edges, welds, and complex geometries. This eliminates thin areas, runs, and uncoated sections typically associated with manual application. The result is a consistent, durable protective layer with no weak points, removing reliance on operator technique and ensuring repeatable, high-quality finishes on every unit. Most standard RAL colours are available as standard.

The control cabinet includes integral safety edge entry apertures, positioned beneath the cabinet lid to allow rubber safety edge profiles to be routed cleanly into the enclosure. This removes the need for additional drilling or external cut-outs, reducing installation time and on-site modification for engineers. The protected entry design also helps minimise the risk of water ingress, debris contamination and damage to the safety edge, supporting long-term reliability and safety compliance.

SAFETY EDGE

Safety first. All our powered gates are equipped with class leading safety systems as standard. For the D5700, this includes 6 x Cat 3 safety edges, twin photocells at different heights, a cabinet mounted Emergency Stop button, hold to run keyswitch and a flashing beacon / sounder. Working with our unique control software this provides the quickest response to a safety event in the industry.

SAFETY SYSTEMS

GATE INFILL OPTIONS​

A wide range of gate infill options is available to meet security and design requirements. Standard choices include vertical steel tubes, welded mesh, and palisade systems, with additional options such as composite boards and timber cladding.

Custom sheet steel panels can also be laser-cut with logos or branding, combining strong security with a distinctive visual identity.
