D6500 Bi-Folding Speed Gate designed for sites where space is limited and speed of operation is critical, the bi-folding speed gate provides a compact, high-performance solution for controlled vehicle access.
The system utilises two mechanically linked leaves per side, folding open in unison to significantly reduce opening times compared to traditional swing or sliding gates—making it ideal for high-traffic environments where efficiency is essential.
With a reduced swing arc, bi-folding gates can be installed in locations where conventional gate systems are not practical, offering a flexible solution for constrained sites without compromising access control.
Engineered for bolt-down installation onto suitable concrete pads, the system enables faster, more straightforward installation while maintaining the strength and stability required for long-term use.
Fully compatible with all standard access control systems, the bi-folding speed gate can be seamlessly integrated into existing or new security setups.

Controller
The D6500 utilises a FEIG control panel, with software co-developed by Ultimation, providing a highly configurable platform featuring hundreds of easily accessible parameters for installer-level adjustment and fine-tuning.
A key advantage for swing gate applications is the implementation of a true master–slave configuration achieved using only a 5-core connection. This enables both gate leaves to operate in complete synchronisation, responding seamlessly to all control inputs and safety activations while maintaining consistent performance and system integrity.
The D6500 is driven by a three-phase electromechanical motor and gearbox assembly, engineered to deliver high torque output with exceptionally smooth and efficient operation. Integrated with a FEIG controller, the system operates from a single-phase supply while retaining the performance advantages of a three-phase drive, ensuring optimal efficiency, reliability, and control. This configuration incorporates a FEIG encoder, providing high-resolution positional feedback for precise motion control and enhanced system accuracy.

The D6500 is equipped with precision-engineered bearing hinges rated for loads of up to 3,000 kg, delivering enhanced structural support, reduced frictional wear, and consistent long-term operational reliability.
Single leaf option
The D6500 is available as a single-leaf configuration, capable of spanning openings up to 5,000 mm with gate heights of up to 4,000 mm. As standard, it is supplied with a dedicated closing post and a 500 kg-rated magnetic lock, ensuring secure and reliable closure. The system is also equipped with dual photocells mounted on both the main post and closing post, providing comprehensive safety coverage and obstacle detection.
Safety Systems
The D6500 is supplied as standard with a comprehensive safety package, including dual-height photocells for enhanced presence detection. Each gate leaf is fitted with Category 3 safety edges, comprising two lower horizontal edges and one closing vertical edge per leaf, providing full protection across primary risk zones. In addition, a post-mounted safety edge is installed to safeguard against post entrapment. The system is further complemented by a post-mounted beacon sounder, delivering clear visual and audible warnings during gate operation.
GATE INFILL OPTIONS
A wide range of gate infill options is available to meet security and design requirements. Standard choices include vertical steel tubes, welded mesh, and palisade systems, with additional options such as composite boards and timber cladding.
Custom sheet steel panels can also be laser-cut with logos or branding, combining strong security with a distinctive visual identity.
HD Bi-folding Mechanism
The D6500 Bifold is engineered for strength, precision, and long-term performance. It features a mechanical folding tie bar system with heavy-duty, bearing-assisted centre pivoting plates, ensuring smooth and reliable operation.
At its core, reinforced centre brackets—manufactured from 15mm thick steel plate—are fitted with double bearings for superior durability. This robust construction minimises twisting, reduces wear, and maintains alignment over time, even under demanding use.
