D2200 Height Restrictors

D2200 Height Restrictors D2200 height restrictors offer a low cost solution for applications such as car parks and for height control prior to low headroom road crossings.

They are available in fixed and manually operated swing versions, and can be supplied with appropriate maximum headroom signage. Swing versions are offered in single or double leaf formats, and they can be locked in both the closed and open positions.

D2200 Height Restrictors are constructed from high quality BS EN 10025 S355 and S275 mild steel, and may be finished in a choice of colours, yellow being the most popular.

Available in heights of up to 2.1 metres and a maximum width of 13 metres, height restrictors are simple to install and provide a quick, economical means of protecting vulnerable unmanned or remote sites.

D2200 Height Restrictors Features

Locking

The D2200 features a provision for a padlock, giving customers the flexibility to select their preferred padlock type. It also includes low-level locking on single-leaf versions, with optional latch-back posts that can be fitted with the same low-level locking.

The D2200 gate assembly is fabricated using 80 x 80 mm SHS (Square Hollow Section) steel for the to leaf section. The Hanging posts are typically manufactured from 150 x 150 mm SHS steel sections, although the final post size is determined by the road span, loading requirements, and site-specific conditions.

Post Options

The D2200 system is available with a range of post installation configurations, including root-fixed (buried), surface-mounted (bolt-down at finished ground level), recessed bolt-down (below finished surface level), and offset base plate arrangements to accommodate site constraints and foundation requirements.

Configuration Options

The D2200 can be configured as either a single-leaf or double-leaf swing restrictor, with the option of a fixed height restrictor. It can also be integrated into our D1400 swing arm gates.

Latch Back posts

Lockable latch-back posts are available as an option, allowing the user to secure the restrictors in the open position. These posts are supplied with low-level locking as standard and can be matched to the main posts for bolt-down configuration.

The D2200 offers an optional, custom-made maximum height restriction sign to suit your requirements.

Knocking Bars

The D2200 has an optional knocking bar available, suspended on chains to help prevent vehicles from striking the height restrictor and to provide drivers with a clear warning if their vehicle exceeds the height limit.

Finish

The D2200 is supplied as standard with a primed substrate and polyester powder coating system, achieving a C4 corrosion protection rating in accordance with ISO 12944. Where higher durability is required, optional finishes including hot-dip galvanizing and PVC plastisol coating are available to meet C5 environmental classification requirements.
